The Book Of Life And Your Life Style

By Chance, Chancellorfiles

Chance: How often have we have heard that Christian religious expression the book of life? In the Bible It is written in Revelation 20:12 “And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.”

It is said, that all of our actions are recorded in the book of life, all of our good and bad deeds are recorded there in this book. So your life style determines what is written in the book of life. Your life style is your personal book of life with all of the good and bad deeds you commit.

All of your good and bad feelings and actions are recorded in your personal book. You say hello to a person, you comfort those who suffer, generosity, kindness, compassion, patience, kind words, love, sympathy, empathy, forgiveness, volunteering your time to a good cause, helping the sick, sharing knowledge with other people, etc. All of these acts and many other virtuous acts are recorded in your personal book of life.

If a person commits acts of rudeness, hate, sexual immorality, jealousy, unprovoked violence, greed, unnecessary anger, stealing, murder (non self defense), verbal abuse, unforgiving, unkindness, laziness, injustice, impatient, bragging, disloyalty, greed, arrogance, pride, untrustworthiness, lying to protect your self from an immoral action you are guilty of, etc. And many other character defects and vices that we humans engage in. These negative actions are recorded in your book of life.

So everyday of your life, your actions are being recorded. Whether these actions are positive, negative or a combination of both. They are deposited into your life book account. And, because of repentance, mistakes that have been committed in the past can be remedied by way of doing good deeds to wash them away. By doing good you can correct the bad entries that you logged into your book of life in the past.
Suffering purifies all the mistakes and sins – that you don’t get a chance to correct by way of doing good deeds.
Judgment day is every day we live, we are not perfect but we can continue making efforts on the road towards perfection.
