Armageddon, Jihad, And Religion

Chance writes: The esoteric traditions of Islam and Christianity when compared verifies that these two religions have more in common than differences. Sufism is the esoteric tradition of Islam.

Armageddon, Jihad, And Religion
(The inner and outer War)

By Chance, Chancellorfiles

Chance: Every religion has two sides to it a public side and a hidden side (secret) and there are two theological terms to describe these two sides also.

The terms are exoteric and esoteric.

Exoteric means external, public, outer, outside.

Esoteric means internal, secret, hidden, inner, inside.

A person who studies the esoteric side of religion is called an esotericist.
The average person is only taught the exoteric (external basic public teachings) teachings and interpretations of the Holy Scriptures of what ever religion they belong to. The majority of the religious leaders belonging to the various religions only know the basic interpretations of the religious scriptures they teach to their followers.

Then there are those select few who have studied the esoteric (hidden, secret, internal meaning). The majority of those who have studied the hidden interpretation of their particular religion and religious scriptures. Seldom go around publicly talking about it why? Because those religious followers who have never studied the esoteric will think. That the esotericist is incorrect and is adding things to the religion that are untrue and made up.

When it comes to religious knowledge there are two kinds of people those who drink milk and those who eat meat. The milk drinkers are still babies and they only study the basic interpretation of their particular religion and religious scriptures. So a religious milk drinker is a person who belongs to the public external side of religion.

Then you have the meat eater the meat eaters study the secret hidden internal interpretation of their particular religion and religious scriptures.

1. Milk drinkers = exoteric – external basic public teachings, external outer interpretation.

2. Meat eaters = esoteric – hidden, secret, inner meaning, internal interpretation.

Every person who studies religious teachings and religious scriptures fall into one of these two categories. Every human starts out as a milk drinker studying the basic interpretations of religious scriptures and religious rituals.

But the majority never graduate to the level of meat eater (esotericist) studying the inner hidden secret interpretations of religious scriptures, the hidden secret meaning of religious rituals, and secret meaning of religious symbology.

The major reason the religious followers of all religions never progress to the level of esotericist. Is because their religious leaders don’t know the religious esoteric interpretations themselves.

You can only teach what you know and nothing more, when people only study the basic teachings of a particular religion they get bored. And, start yearning spiritually for more new religious teachings and knowledge that they have never heard before.

And when the religious leader can’t provide any new religious teachings and religious practices for the followers. Many of the followers stop attending the Church (Christianity), Mosque (Islam), Synagogue (Judaism), Mandir (Hindu religious temple), Buddhist Temple, etc.

Because there is this void on the inside of the religious believer and this void creates inside the religious followers a yearning for something motivational, inspirational, and spiritually new to intervene in their lives. May all essences (souls) someday encounter other people (souls) who can teach them the esoteric if they are ready and receptive.

Armageddon And Jihad The Basic Interpretation (Exoteric Interpretation)

Chance: Christianity and Islam both speak of a great final war that will destroy many countries and cause the deaths of millions of people. In Christianity this war is called Armageddon; Armageddon is the final Great War that will be fought among humans. Satan will be defeated in this war also; God will defeat Satan and his armies.

All countries will participate in this war directly or indirectly, various countries will ally and team up to fight against rival countries and their allies. Another name for this Armageddon is world war III, and this Armageddon world war III will destroy the wicked among humanity, whom have not purified themselves spiritually. Christians believe GOD and Jesus will save the pure and righteous among humanity before the great war of Armageddon starts.

Revelation 16:16 – They gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon. (New International Version, Bible version)
And they assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon. (English Standard Version, Bible version)

Then the demons brought the kings together in the place called Armageddon in the Hebrew language. (New Life Version, Bible version)

Then they gathered the Kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon. (New International Version, Bible version)

Those armies came together in a place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon. (Contemporary English Version, Bible version)

Footnote: The name Armageddon: The correct Hebrew spelling is Har Megiddo, Har means Hill in Hebrew. So Har Megiddo means Hill of Megiddo – many battles were fought in Har Megiddo in Ancient bible times.

Judges 5:19 – The Kings came, they fought; then fought the Kings of Canaan, at Taanach, by the waters of Megiddo; they got no spoils of silver. (English Standard Version, Bible version)

2 Kings 23:29 – While Josiah was King, Pharaoh Neco King of Egypt went to the Euphrates River to help the King of Assyria. King Josiah marched out to meet in battle, but Neco faced him and killed at Megiddo. (New International Version, Bible version)

Islam speaks of Jihad now what is jihad? Jihad comes from the root word Jahada, Jahada means to strive. The word Jihad means strive; now the word Jihad is generally used by Muslims to describe a Holy WAR. So in general when Muslims use the word Jihad their referring to holy war.

1. Jihad means Strive, to strive

2. Jihad symbolically means HOLY WAR

Noble Quran 2:190 – And fight in the way of Allah those who fight you, but transgress not the limits. Truly, Allah likes not transgressors (This verse is the first one that was revealed in connection with Jihad).

Muslims during the life time of Prophet Mohammad practiced jihad (striving and fighting in a holy war) and fought against their enemies whom were from various pagan Arab tribes during the life time of Prophet Mohammad.

If the word jihad means to strive, then how did the word jihad end up meaning holy war too? During the life time of Prophet Mohammad when Mohammad first introduced Islam to the Arab people. Some of the Arabs converted from their pagan religion of worshipping Idols (statues) and joined Mohammad and became Muslims. These first new converts to Islam totally converted to the Islamic religion because they believed the words of Prophet Mohammad.

Now there were Arabs who belonged to the various Arab tribes and had not converted to Islam – these Arabs still worshipped their Idols (little statues that were sitting in a cave the cave was considered a holy place). These Arabs had a pagan religion, and did not like the fact, that Mohammad was going around preaching about a new religion called Islam.

So these pagan Arabs and Prophet Mohammad and his Muslim followers fought many battles against each other. This is why Jihad is known also as holy war because Mohammad had to fight against the pagan Arabs and their pagan religion. To see which religion would become the official religion of Mecca, Medina, And Saudi Arabia
So in today’s time when Muslims are fighting against another country or an enemy they often say they are fighting a holy war (Jihad). Holy war is just a term that has be carried and passed on generation after generation among Muslims.

So Jihad is a physical war that is fought by Muslim countries or a particular Muslim country against another country. For what ever reason that motivated and started war.
Armageddon will be the final great physical war that will be fought by all countries and ethnic groups directly or indirectly in the future.

A Jihad can be against almost anything, example a jihad to fight against poverty. A jihad (striving) to fight against the spreading of some disease etc.

Jihad And Armageddon The Hidden Interpretation (Esoteric Interpretation)

In Life we all have our ups and downs, our joys, sorrows, tears and fears, likes and dislikes, anger, happiness, etc. On the inside of all humans there is a serious internal war taking place. This inner war is constantly raging on and this war is between the ego and the soul (essence).

There are two types of Armageddon’s; there are two types of Jihads.

There is the physical Armageddon which manifest in the form of physical war and there is the inner Armageddon which takes place inside of each human being.
There is the physical Jihad which manifest in the form of war, and there is the inner Jihad which takes place inside of each human.

Inside of you meaning inside your physical body your ego is at war with your soul-essence. The ego is everything about you that is evil, negative, wicked, demonic, etc.
Your soul-essence is everything about you that is good, righteous, beautiful in expressing itself, kindness, compassionate, loving, generous, etc.

Your ego and soul are having an inner Jihad-Armageddon. The ego tries to convince you to do and verbally say things, which you should not say or do.
Our lives are made an incarnated living hell because of our egos, we humans fight needlessly, murder, steal-theft, rape, robbery, rudeness, needless insults, threaten with violence, sexual misconduct, mistreat, etc.

All because of our egos (negative side of every human) the ego is responsible for all of our secret inner pain. Sometimes it is the ego of another person that causes one to have inner pain. The fact is it is the ego that caused the inner hurt – whether it is one’s own ego or another person’s ego.

The ego symbolizes character defects all of your character defects combined makes up this inner monster called ego.

The ego is the father of the SEVEN deadly sins.

Sloth (lazy)
Lust (sexual lust)
Wrath (anger)

You must fight against the ego and defeat it, don’t let the ego win the inner war (inner Jihad-Armageddon). The soul is that part of you that came from the universal creator GOD.

Soul and Virtues

The Soul-essence has virtues that if practiced brings blessing to the world and your personal life as well.

Patience (long suffering)

Chance: Many souls are currently losing the inner war against the ego; the ego is the inner SATAN inside of every human.
How does one fight against the inner SATAN-EGO by practicing virtues. Remember the ego is all of your personal character defects. You can win the inner war against the ego by practicing the virtues over the defects.

Greed practice generosity – Generosity means letting others get the credit or praise for a particular accomplishment. It is giving without having expectations that the other person will give something in return. Greed wants to get more than its fair share or a bit more than what is deserved.

Gluttony practice Faith and Temperance – Temperance accepts the natural limits of pleasures and preserves this natural balance. This does not pertain only to food, but to sex, entertainment, money, and other legitimate goods and pleasures, and even the company of others. There is a natural balance to everything; things must be done in moderation.

Envy practice love – Love is generous, love is compassionate, Love is patient, love is kind, love is understand, love is sympathetic, Love actively seeks the good of others for their sake alone. Envy resents the good others receive, envy resents even the good others might receive.

Sloth (lazy) practice zeal – Zeal is the energetic enthusiastic response of the heart to God’s commands. The other sins work together to deaden the spiritual senses so we first become slow to respond to God and then drift completely into the sleep of complacency. And complacency is a type of laziness.

Pride practice Humility – Seeing ourselves as we are really and not comparing ourselves to others is humility. Pride, vanity, jealousy, are competitive. If someone else’s pride really bothers and annoy you, then that means you have a lot of pride yourself. It is a sign your pride wants to compete with theirs.

Lust (sexual lust) practice Self control – Now Self control and self mastery prevent pleasure from killing the soul by spiritual suffocation. You can pursue pleasures but in moderation and control for maximum efficiency without damage. Lust is the self-destructive drive and pursuit for pleasure out of proportion to its worth. Sex is alright as long as it’s kept and done in moderation, pursuing power is alright as long as it is controlled and done in moderation.

Wrath (anger) practice Kindness – Kindness means taking the tender approach, with patience sympathy, empathy, and compassion. Anger and rage are often our first reaction to the problems caused by other people.

“Those who believe fight in the way of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the way of Satan. Fight therefore against the friends of Satan.” Surely the strategy of Satan is weak. Surah 4:76 (Quran)

If you believe in God (Allah) you will fight in his way, the verse is talking about the inner fight, the inner Jihad against the inner Satan. Those who disbelieve are the people who don’t try to fight against their inner demon (Ego-Satan). The disbelievers don’t make any efforts to arm themselves and fight the inner war in them.

They have been conquered and defeated by the inner Ego-Satan; these disbelievers have given way to all of their character defects.

The Satan is the inner Ego that uses character defects to trick you into repeating the same old vices and negative activities that you always fall for. The Ego-Satan has many tricks it uses to lure you back into a psychological hell, unhealthy life style, ect. The soul must be alert to these alluring tricks of the inner devil.

Prophet Mohammad said: “The most excellent Jihad is that for the conquest of self.” (Bukhari)

Be strong and keep the faith alive put up the good fight against the inner Satan, someday you will win the inner Armageddon. You will lose many battles along the way but just as the glory goes to the soldiers and their platoons because they won the war.
The glory and victory goes also to those who won the inner war.

You have some interesting things to say but you lose your reader as a result of the constant grammatical erors and the constant repeat of major points. Basically what you write is unstrucutred and in simple words ‘all over the place’. I suggest you take up a writing class in order to learn grammar as well as essays. Otherwise what you write cannot be taken seriously and that would be unfortunate as as i mentioned above you have some good ideas.

  2. Hey Sheryl you are right I wrote this essay a lon time ago and said to myself I will go ahead and post it. I should have edited and made it shorter. Other peopl have told me what you said also, I am just starting out. This essay was during a period when I use to write long essays bad, bad grammar. I will work on it Sheryl. Also I am glad you liked the topic.

Thank you for comming to the bloghouse and come back again please.
