Snitch (Snitchin the pros and cons)

 Snitch

Snitchin has pros and cons to it, pluses and minuses, I guess it all depends on the situation.

Chance: Snitching is a word that criminals, gangsters, corrupt cops, crooked politicians, unfaithful companions (male and female relationships), friends, homies, co workers, athletes, and entertainers who have gotten caught up in some situation dislike with a passion. NFL football player Michael Vick was charged with having a dog fighting ring inside of his house. The Police said that, the dogs would fight and bets were placed. Some of Michael Vicks friends were also involved with helping Michael Vick run he illegal dog fighting ring.

After investigating, the police charged Vick’s homeboys with helping run this illegal operation. This thing called snitching, Vick’s homeboys may have never heard of this thing before — because they have been doing a lot of it.

They told police that Vick was the major operator behind the illegal dog fighting ring. The prosecutor has offered Vick’s associates lesser punishment if they cooperate and help the police and prosecutor (District Attorney) convict Michael Vick. The behavior of Vick’s associates make you wonder whether or not snitching is an east coast thing? The reality is, that snitches have been around since humans started engaging in activities that could embarrass them if exposed. It doesn’t matter if you live on the west or east coast, north or south snitching has been prevalent and abundant just ask the Italian Mafia.

Sammy “the Bull” Gravanno was a mafia hit man who confessed to killing 19 people. When Sammy was aarested by the New York Police department for murder and various other crimes he decided to snitch on his mafia boss John Gotti (John Gotti Sr). The result was John Gotti was given life in prison without th possibility of parole. John Gotti died of cancer in prison. Sammy “the bull” Gravanno was put in a witness protection program and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. While in Arizona Sammy and his son started running an illegal drug called ecstasy, they both were arrested and convicted.

The judge asked Sammy how do you plead, and Sammy said guilty your honor. Sammy was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Chance: Is snitching wrong or right? It all depends on the situation and circumstances surrounding the situation. As well as the personal code of conduct of the individuals involved in the situation. Some criminals snitch on their fellow partners in crime so they will receive a lenient sentence. Is it wrong? Well that depends on the personal code of conduct that the criminals involved live by.

Whether it be crime, unfaithful spouses, boyfriend – girlfriend, co workers, corrupt cops, etc personal code of conduct and circumstances behind the situations will often determine whether one informs on certain individuals. So it really is a personal choice.

Sometimes snitches give the police false information too, and this this fake info leads to the police arresting and shooting innocent people. I say police, FBI, CIA, and law enforcement must be very careful about believing everything a snitch says. They should investigate the information the snitches give very thoroughly before they act upon it. Investigation should be top priority for anytime someone comes and give you information about about what another person said or did.

Investigating can save marriages, friendships, jobs, lives, and money. Remember on average, the burden of proof is on the snitch most of the time.

The anti-snitching campaign which is ran by “ghetto thugs” and promoted by rappers so that they can keep their so called “street cred” is senseless, “niggerish” like, just plain pathetic. Many victims and their families are left without justice while these scums of the earth are still left on the streets to victimize another person and their family. A lot of adults need to step up to the plate and stop allowing BET, MTV and hardcore trash rappers to raise their children. I think that most rap music nowadays is trash in its purest form, it promotes violence, misogyny, materialism, and just plain coonery.

Now back to the subject, a person is only a snitch if they tell on someone to save themselves. If someone harms you or your loved ones, if you know who it is have them locked up! We need to stop allowing for “trash” to take over our communities. We need to stop looking for Black leaders to save us, lets save ourselves, we do not need anyone to speak for us anymore.

Good answer Denise, but at the same time all racial and ethnic groups have leaders, you need them even in an uncivilized society, they have leaders called dictators, and dictators are kings.

  3. All I know is that I’m not going to jail for anybody. I remember telling guys when I was younger that I didn’t want to know what dirt they did because if it meant me going to jail…I was telling. Most of them would laugh, but they knew I was telling the truth. Again, I’m not going to jail for anybody, and if that includes me snitching. Then I’ll be a snitching something.

    Response:
At least you are bold enough to admit it, many people play tough but when they get caught they snitch and tell. The guys should have been grateful for your honesty. You kept it real and honest, and, that is a good character trait.

I WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGIZE TO YOU CHANCE. THOSE COMMENTS I MADE ABOUT YOU WERE OUT OF ANGER. ALTHOUGH I MAY DISAGREE WITH SOME OF YOUR OPINIONS, IT DOES NOT JUSTIFY ME MAKING SUCH DIABOLICAL COMMENTS.

I HAVE A SISTER WHO IS DARK SKINNED, SHE WAS CALLED BLACK AND UGLY AS A CHILD, AND THE KIDS WOULD ASK HER WHY ISN’T SHE LIGHT LIKE THE REST OF HER SISTERS. SHE EVEN ASK MY MOTHER WAS SHE ADOPTED. TO THIS DAY, SHE IS STILL SCARRED BY THOSE COMMENTS, BECAUSE SHE OFTEN MAKE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT PEOPLE HER COMPLEXION.

WHEN I READ THE COMMENTS THAT I MADE, I WAS LIKE, WHAT IN THE WORLD. I AM A SOFT SPOKEN, KIND OF BASHFUL 28 YEAR OLD WOMAN,I WOULD NOT RESPOND TO ANYONE IN SUCH A MANNER IN PERSON, SO I SHOULD NOT DO THAT IN A BLOG EITHER. A LOT OF BLACK WOMEN ARE STEREOTYPED AS BEING ANGRY AND MY COMMENTS DID NOT HELP. YOU SEEM TO BE A VERY INTELLIGENT, WELL ROUNDED MAN.I WILL STUBBORNLY ADMIT THAT PEOPLE HAVE TO SOMETIMES PUSH PEOPLES BUTTONS TO MAKE THEM PROACTIVE. GOD BLESS.
