Dog Chapman And The N Word

Do you feel that Duane Dog Chapman is a racist or did he just used poor choice of words?

Duane Dog Chapman’s 5 minute tape phone call to his son Tucker Chapman

Chance: Many whites are defending Duane Dog Chapman even though he made those racist comments. The reality is that in America big money is mad out of bashing black Americans on television, radio, and vilifying them in movies.

The fact that many whites have come to the defense of Dog Chapman proves this. Whites are so readily to forgive Chapman, but not so ready to forgive when it was former NFL football player Michael Vick, Former Grey’s anatomy actor Isaiah Washington, and even in the backlash to the Jena 6 case in Louisiana, and the Genarlow Wilson case in Georgia. Attacking blacks unprovoked has always been a pass in America.

Don Imus would have gotten away with it too, if there was not this out cry against him. Some people that Dog Chapman is not a racist it was just the fact that he comes from the streets trailer parks, lived the life of a motor cycle gangster, and therefore, Chapman was use to just speaking his mind and speaking in general lingo. Some people feel his son should have kept the conversation between them. Duane Chapman was angry that his son Tucker Chapman was dating a black woman name Monique Shinnery.

Duane Chapman has said it was not her race that he disliked but her character. On the tape Dog Chapman uses the word Nigger to describe Monique. Black women have had reputation in America of being gold diggers, and Chapman on the tape said he is not about to loose everything he has worked for in 30 years in behind Monique threatening to expose him for using the word NIGGER in the past.

Could Chapman had felt that Monique was going to try to gold dig her way to the top by brining down a popular television star like Chapman. It sounds like Dog Chapman felt so.

Lawyer: Son Sold Dog Chapman "Niggers" tape

HONOLULU (AP) — Television bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman’s son taped a private phone conversation in which the reality star used a racial slur repeatedly, then sold it to a tabloid for "a lot of money," Chapman’s lawyer said Thursday. "I guess because of whatever level of anger he had of his father, he felt the need to express it in that manner," attorney Brook Hart told The Associated Press.

Tucker Chapman could not be reached for comment; no one answered the telephone at a Honolulu number listed under his name. The National Enquirer on Wednesday posted on its Web site a clip of a conversation in which Duane Chapman, star of the hit A&E series "Dog the Bounty Hunter," repeatedly used the N-word in reference to Monique Shinnery, Tucker’s girlfriend. Chapman later apologized to his son and the woman, then learned about how the tape got into the tabloid’s hands, Hart said. A&E has suspended production of the series, saying the network takes the matter seriously. "When the inquiry is concluded, we will take appropriate action," A&E spokesman Michael Feeney said in a statement Thursday.

The show, in its fifth season and one of A&E’s top-rated programs, has not been canceled. An after-hours telephone message for David Perel, the Enquirer’s editor in chief, was not immediately returned. But earlier in the day, Perel declined to say how the tape was obtained, saying what mattered was what’s on the tape. In the conversation, Chapman urges Tucker to break up with his girlfriend, Monique Shinnery.

He also expresses concern about the Monique trying to tape and go public about the TV star’s use of the N-word. Chapman has said he was "disappointed in his choice of a friend, not due to her race, but her character. However, I should have never used that term." He also said he was ashamed of himself and pledged to make amends. Hart said his client is not a racist and vowed never to use the word again. "I have never seen anything that suggests he judges people by the color of their skin or racial background or anything but on their character," he said. "Duane lost his composure and made very, very inappropriate remarks, for which he truly regrets."

The TV series follows Chapman and his tattooed crew as they track down bail jumpers in Hawaii and other states. The show also stars some members of Chapman’s family, but Tucker Chapman is not regularly featured. The Honolulu-based bounty hunter first grabbed headlines for apprehending serial rapist and Max Factor heir Andrew Luster in Mexico in 2003.

I am not surprised at all, racism and biggotry is all a part of white peoples DNA as far as I’m concerned.

That black chick will eventually find out that his son is probably no different than the father.

    My response:
If he (Tucker Chapman) is like his father, and she finds out, and confronts him with it he will feel sillly for telling on his dad. She might record him the way he recorded his dad.

Liberals are truly an anomaly in this country. They’re one of the few groups of people that don’t understand the meaning of the phrase “freedom of speech” and that the phrase includes speech one finds offensive, like the word nigger. No one owes anyone anything in this country.

My response: The reasons non whites and whites from former communist countries come to America is because it is, a liberal type of country meaning you have more personal freedom here in America. Freedom is determined by how liberal (free) your country is. The white race is what I call the liberal race, their conservatism is more freedom based (liberal) than the conservatism of many non whites racial groups.

Show me a country that is not liberal enough, and I will show you a country that has a lot of unhappy people who wish to live in a more liberal type country. Liberalism is only a problem when it has gone to extremes, and conservatism is only a problem when it has gone to extremes.

  5. White people= BAD Black People = Good

Is it more troubling when a black man kills another black man or when a white man says some dumb shit? Why ever care about what the white man says if you have deemed him already to be genetically inferior. Do you need reaffirmation?

Please don’t think that I support the mentality behind Chapman’s commentary – but this is what I think:

    1. This was a private phone conversation. Not meant for public consumption. I would like to know how anyone reading this post would feel if – let’s say if you were talking on your home phone with a co-worker (who is on his home phone) about your boss. Then, the next day a tape of your conversation is played over the intercom at your job?

    2. Chapman has not shown these kind of sentiments toward Black people in public or on his TV show.

    3. I am Black and I am adamant about civil rights, rights to privacy and EQUAL application of those rights. I think that we who are always talking about rights should be consistent in equal excercise and equal justice.

The person that should be under scrutiny is the one that published A PRIVATE PHONE CONVERSATION. No matter what it is – any American White or Black, should be able to say or talk about whatever he wants to on his PRIVATE PHONE without the possibilty of that conversation being played on the EVENING NEWS!

    @ Arthur Ward,

I agree this was a private matter, and should have remained private.
